Infertility

During their first three years of marriage, Menucha and Chaim had one early pregnancy loss. Their rabbi referred them to my clinic, and they started receiving weekly treatments. Every month our optimism heightened, only to be disappointed by the onset of another cycle. There  were several occasions when we were all genuinely surprised that she didn’t conceive.

While Menucha grappled with  a feeling of despair, she told me that she felt encouraged that we were getting somewhere, as her monthly cycle became more regular and her overall health improved dramatically. Acupuncture also relieved her stress and improved her husband's digestion. 

Finally, after close to a year of treatment, Menucha conceived! Compared to her first pregnancy which had ended in an early miscarriage, she felt much more nauseous and exhausted. I always tell my patients that this is a great sign, as strong nausea is usually  an indication of a strong pregnancy.
